Distance
94 miles (151km).
How many days will it take to walk?
The Inn Way...to Northumberland is a long distance circular walk, divided into six 'day stages' ranging from 11 to 20.5 miles.
Additional Overnight Stop - Stage Five
It is possible to split Stage Five of the walk (Wooler to Alwinton) in half by staying overnight at Ingram (B&B), which is approximately a 2 mile detour off 'The Inn Way' route from Greensidehill Farm down along the road through the Breamish Valley to Ingram. This will therefore create a seven-day walk, with Stage Five divided into two walks, each of which will be approximately 12 miles in length.
How many pubs will I pass along the way?
There are 48 pubs along 'The Inn Way... to Northumberland'. Each 'day stage' is designed to include a pub at lunchtime and the Overnight Stops offer a choice of pubs and facilities, although Stage 5 from Wooler to Alwinton does not include a pub along the way as the route heads through the remote yet beautiful landscape of the Cheviot Hills.
