Situated between Perth, Inverness, Dundee and Aberdeen, the Cairngorms represent one of the most dramatic mountain landscapes in Europe as well as being Britain’s number one winter sports destination, with wild corries, long rivers and some of the highest mountains in Scotland.

 

This book features many great hills in and around this National Park, starting from Pitlochry in the south through the ski hub of Aviemore on the Cairngorm plateau to Tomintoul, Braemar and Ballater.
