Each walk is described in detail, and there also notes on what can be seen along the way from castles and medieval dovecotes to timber-framed houses and from butterflies and moths to dog roses in the hedgerows.
These walks also offer the chance to visit Ashdown Forest and the Airman's Grave, Robertsbridge with its unusual clock-tower memorial, Firle Beacon one of the highest points on the South Downs and Rye harbour and its nature reserve.
There is also the opportunity to walk along the coastal path above Seven Sisters, through part of the beautiful grounds of Buckhurst Park and past the Long Man of Wilmington. Full colour throughout.
