National Three Peaks Challenge Series - Map Pack

Mini Maps are pocket sized, waterproof walking maps that use 1:25,000 scale Ordnance Survey mapping. No Origami skills required, Minimaps are easy to unfold, view, and when you're sure you're on the right path, to tuck away in a small, easily accessed place.

This pack includes 3 x 1:25,000 scale maps printed on A3 sized paper. They cover just the Three Peaks - Snowdon, Scafell Pike & Ben Nevis, with route guide cards for each peak.

Ben Nevis MiniMap

Ben Nevis is the highest of the 3 peaks (1344 metres) and is the one route which has a main, marked path; however the path has a much greater vertical ascent.
The main path runs up Ben Nevis, starting from Glen Nevis. The Loch (Lochan Meall an t-Siudhe) marks the half way point which is followed by a zigzag route up to the peak.

The route is 10.5 miles long in total.

Scafell Pike MiniMap

Scafell Pike is 978 metres high and as various different routes to the peak however, the most popular path begins at Wasdale Head car park. It is this route that our MiniMap covers.

After leaving the car park, you follow the road onto a footpath which then leads you on to Lingmell Gill. Bearing left at this point, you head uphill to Brown Tongue which continues onto the peak of Scafell Pike.

The route is 6 miles long in total.

Snowdon MiniMap

Snowdon is 1085 metres high and has many paths with varying difficulty that lead you up to the peak. The most popular route is the Pyg track or Miners Track which leaves from he Pen-y-Pass car park. After departing from the higher level area of the car park, you begin onto a tarmac track. When you reach a large upright stone you have joined onto the Miners Track. A second upright stone should then follow at the base of the final ascent marking several paths.

The route is 7 miles long in total.
