On a summer’s day the River Deben and Dunwich Heath are alive with birds and butterflies. Autumn brings colour to the woods near Hintlesham and the parkland of Nowton Park. The banks of the River Stour at Dedham and the gallops of Newmarket provide good winter walking. The countryside covered is infinitely varied and often spectacular.
