This book was created for those looking to push their walking
adventures that bit further. Compiled by photographer and prolific
guidebook writer Terry Marsh, these routes are take you to some of the
more challenging peak in the Lakes, or to a familiar peak via and
unfamiliar path.
Each route leads to one or more fell summits, and requires the walker
to be capable of navigating with a map and compass or GPS device. Many
of the ascents include some more challenge, such as a traverse, scramble
or an exposed ridge. Unlike the other Pathfinder guides, the routes are
not grouped into difficulty, but provide enough information for each
individual to calculate for themselves the amount of time and effort
likely to be needed.
