Dartmoor is the perfect place for adventure walking with its wild moors and forests and rugged climate and it is one of the few places in England where wild camping is allowed.

There is also a feast of historic sites and legends connected with the moors ranging from Bronze Age circles like Stonehenge, mediaeval crosses, engineering marvels in the form of leats, tin mines and their buildings, and deserted Victorian farm houses that evoke a mystic atmosphere.
