The main bulk of the higher ground
is concentrated upon the wonderful Long Mynd, which provides a backdrop
to the pretty town of Church Stretton. Beyond its mass you will find an
exciting line of narrow hills' The Lawley, Caer Caradoc, Ragleth Hill
and The Hope Bowdler Range, with the delightful escarpment of Wenlock
Edge, with the "Wrekin" providing an outlying top further to the east.
To the west of the Long Mynd you will find the legendary Stiperstones,
and not forgotten are The Clee Hills. Brown Clee Hill is Shropshire's
highest point at 1,772ft. All make superb outings at any time of year.
