Using this book as a guide, you can stroll by delightful stretches of
the Etherow, Tame, Rivelin, Derwent, Wye, Dane, Dove and Manifold rivers
and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and Macclesfield Canal.
There is
plenty of opportunity to enjoy the many beautiful reservoirs and lakes
in the area including the Derwent and Ladybower reservoirs and lovely
Rudyard Lake.
Each carefully described walk includes information
such as how to get to the start, where to park and where to go for
refreshments. For greater clarity the route descriptions are divided
into numbered paragraphs, which correspond with numbers on the
accompanying coloured sketch maps.
The book also includes colour
photographs. There are also places of interest to visit along the way
such as Lyme Park with its stunning gardens; Millers Dale Quarry, a site
of Special Scientific Interest; and the unique estate village of Ilam.
